Head-On Collision Closes Roads in Bethel

Bethel, CT — February 3rd —Bethel Fire & EMS and the Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Department responded Tuesday morning to a two-vehicle head-on collision at Plumtrees Road and Maple Avenue Extension. Upon arrival, fire and EMS crews stabilized both drivers and administered immediate medical care. Following an evaluation by EMTs and paramedics, both patients were transferred by ambulance to Danbury Hospital for additional care. The road was halted for about an hour as emergency services attempted to clean the scene and remove automobiles. Bethel police aided with traffic control and are investigating the cause of the collision.
