The figures represent a wide spectrum of responses provided by firemen and emergency medical workers. Emergency medical calls accounted for the majority of the burden, with 637 EMS responses. Firefighters also responded to 26 fire incidents, 104 fire alarm activations, and 36 motor vehicle accidents. Additional responses included service calls, hazardous material incidents, water rescues, and 64 mutual assistance missions to help neighboring agencies.
