Fire Alarm Followed by Essex Structure Fire Response

The Old Saybrook Fire Department responded to a number of occurrences on February 3rd, early evening. At 6:06 p.m., firefighters were alerted to a fire alarm activation on Ingham Hill Road. Crews investigated the alarm and responded in accordance with department regulations. Shortly after clearing that call, Old Saybrook units were dispatched on a mutual aid assignment to the Town of Essex for a reported residential structure fire on Ingham Road. Firefighters assisted Essex crews with fire suppression and extinguishment efforts as part of a coordinated response.
