On January 30, the East Providence Fire Department responded to an industrial manufacturing fire at 3 Dexter Road around 3:40 a.m. Firefighters arrived to find a fire inside the structure and began suppression operations despite the frigid early morning temperatures.

Crews worked to control the fire and protect the main structure. Firefighters reported that their efforts were successful in reducing damage and keeping the fire from spreading to the principal building. Operations lasted many hours as personnel finished extinguishment and looked for extension. There were no injuries recorded during the incident.
