On January 26th, Allentown Volunteer Fire Company Inc. was asked to provide mutual aid to Wellsville for a working residential fire in a remote location. Due to limited access, the department's 4WD 1,000 GPM micro pumper was requested as a supplemental four-wheel-drive vehicle, assisting Wellsville units in reaching the structure. Upon arrival, an Allentown unit had finished several hundred feet of supply line to supplement water delivery to the fireground. Additional men built a secondary water supply at a hydrant within the village, and another unit joined the tanker shuttle, filling drop tanks to keep operations running. The Bolivar Fire Department provided standby coverage during the incident. Wellsville workers also helped Allentown members reload hose after the reaction.
