Dudley, MA — January 4th — The Dudley Fire Department responded to a Southbridge mutual aid call. In response to a regional mutual aid system report, Dudley units were sent to the vicinity of 62 Cross Street to support the Southbridge Fire Department. While Southbridge firemen oversaw operations at the scene, crews arrived to offer more personnel and assistance.

In central Massachusetts, mutual aid responses are a standard component of fire safety, enabling departments to pool resources and sustain service levels during active crises. While the crisis was being handled, the coordinated response helped guarantee that both neighborhoods had enough coverage. There were no recorded injuries involving Dudley employees. After finishing their task and cleansing the area, Dudley troops went back into service.
