Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck by Car in Newburgh

NEWBURGH, NY - Cronomer Valley FD responded to a pedestrian versus motor vehicle MVA on State Route 32, February 3rd. Town of Newburgh Police and EMS were also at the scene. Firefighters checked the vehicle for hazards and stood by while EMS requested a MedEvac for the pedestrian. Good Will FD set up the landing zone at Mid Valley Mall as Route 32 was shut down in both directions. Town of Newburgh EMS transported the subject to the landing zone where they were then transported to Montefiore-St. Luke's Hospital and pronounced DOA. Town of Newburgh ID Unit was called in to take photos, and the Town of Newburgh Police are investigating the fatal accident.
