January 13th: Early on Tuesday morning, members of the Deposit Fire Department responded to a reported shed fire in the Town of Sanford in collaboration with Eastern Broome Emergency Services. Firefighters arrived to discover the shed completely destroyed. Before the fire spread to neighboring structures, crews were able to contain it by swiftly deploying handlines.

Engine 22 and Pumper-Tanker 22 were among the responding deposit equipment, and Eastern Broome Ambulance 8422 offered EMS assistance. The Windsor Fire Department responded with a pumper-tanker as part of automatic mutual aid because the event took place in a rural, non-hydrant region. While additional water supply was not required, having tanker resources on scene ensured crews were prepared if conditions changed. No injuries were reported. Early fire control and coordinated operations helped limit damage and protect surrounding properties.
