February 2, 2026 — An Eliot Fire Department firefighter reached an important milestone this week while working toward Firefighter I & II certification.
Firefighter Noah Tessier successfully completed ladder operations training by climbing the Berwick Fire Department’s 75-foot aerial ladder as part of required skills testing. The evolution is a critical component of the FF I & II curriculum, designed to ensure firefighters can safely and effectively operate at height during emergency incidents.
The training was conducted under controlled conditions and evaluated as part of the state certification process. Ladder proficiency is essential for roof access, elevated rescues, and fire suppression operations.
Department officials praised Tessier’s performance and dedication to training, noting that continued certification and skills development strengthen operational readiness and safety for both firefighters and the community they serve.
