Mutual Aid Assignment Sends Auburn Engine 1 to Webster

Auburn, MA — January 3rd — As part of a mutual aid assignment, Engine 1 of the Auburn Fire Department, located at 47 Auburn Street, responded to a reported structure fire at 6 Lakeside Avenue in Webster on January 3. Upon arrival, Auburn personnel operated under the established incident command system with Webster Fire Department units and other responding agencies. Engine 1 participated with assigned fireground duties to support suppression efforts and maintain scene organization.


Mutual help responses let departments to pool personnel and resources during working incidents while ensuring coverage across nearby municipalities. These coordinated efforts help manage incidents efficiently and securely. Employees of the Auburn Fire Department were released by command and put back into duty after completing their mission.
