Guilderland Fire Department Assist at Working Structure Fire on Western Avenue

On January 18th, the Guilderland Fire Department provided mutual aid to a working structure fire at 2460 Western Avenue, Lot 11. The Guilderland Fire Department responded to the event, with help from the Guilderland Center Fire Department, Rotterdam Fire District #2, and Fort Hunter units. As part of the incident command system's coordinated reaction, Fort Hunter firemen assisted with on-scene operations. Crews aided with suppression and support functions while companies tried to control the fire and check for further spread.
