NEWBURGH, NY - Cronomer Valley FD responded to a serious MVA involving a vehicle into a pole on Gardnertown Road, near the intersection of Powder Mill Road, on February 2nd. Town of Newburgh Police and EMS were at the scene. Police blocked the area off to traffic due to the pole being snapped. Firefighters checked the vehicle and assisted with the injured party. Central Hudson was notified of the pole damage and responded to scene. EMS requested a MedEvac to transport the injured subject. Winona Lake FD set up the landing zone in a parking area on Gardnertown Road. Town of Newburgh EMS transported the subject to the landing zone at which time they were airlifted to Westchester Medical Center. The Town of Newburgh Police Dept. is investigating the cause.
