Stephen M. Dooley Appointed Director of the Paulding County Emergency Management Agency

(Dallas, GA) – On Wednesday, January 26, 2022, Stephen M. Dooley was appointed Director of the Paulding County Emergency Management Agency. The Paulding County EMA is organized as a division within the Paulding County Fire Department. Director Dooley is a 24-year veteran in Public Safety. In addition to Emergency Management, Director Dooley’s service has included Emergency Communications, Fire/Rescue, and Law Enforcement. Director Dooley has been a full-time Paulding County employee for 21 years and has served Paulding County EMA for the last 5 years as EMA Coordinator and most recently Deputy EMA Director.

Paulding County Fire/Rescue Fire Chief, Joey Pelfrey had this to say of Director Dooley, “I am very proud of Stephen for taking our EMA division to a level that is not met by many in the State. He holds a Georgia Professional (Masters) level certification in Emergency Management and he currently serves as the Emergency Management Association of Georgia- Area Chairman. Not only is Stephen appreciated in our county, he is well respected on the State level of GEMA-Homeland Security.”
