January 14, 2026 —The Harrisville Fire Department partnered with Burrillville Public Schools on Tuesday to support Burrillville High School physics classes during their annual egg drop project, turning a classroom experiment into a hands-on learning experience. Ladder 2 Company assisted students by providing apparatus access and operational support, allowing students to safely test their designs from an elevated height. In addition to supporting the educational exercise, Probationary Firefighter Geremia used the opportunity to speak with students about the department’s junior firefighter program, encouraging interest in fire service careers. The event highlighted the department’s ongoing commitment to community engagement, education, and youth outreach, and was met with strong participation and enthusiasm from students and staff alike.
