Three members of the Newton Volunteer Fire Department are congratulated on completing their individual training programs at the Sussex County Fire Academy. James Maher advanced his operational training and strengthened his fundamental firefighting abilities by successfully completing the Firefighter II program. The Rescue Task Force Operations training, which focuses on coordinated response, casualty treatment, and operations in high-risk areas, was completed by Shawn Snedeker and former Chief Jason Miller.
