January 19, 2026 — Lake Mishnock Fire & Rescue is actively seeking new volunteers to support its emergency response and community services. With nearly 70 percent of firefighters nationwide serving in a volunteer capacity, the department emphasized the critical role volunteers play in protecting local residents. Opportunities are available for those interested in training as firefighters, becoming EMTs, or contributing as support members behind the scenes in administrative, technical, or fundraising roles.
