January 13, 2026 — As Warren Fire Department Marine 3 was returning from a call near Rumstick Point on Tuesday afternoon, the crew observed members of the U.S. Coast Guard’s Aids to Navigation Division conducting routine maintenance on Allen Rock in the Warren River. Coast Guard personnel were seen replacing the light bulb atop the historic navigation marker, ensuring the beacon remains fully operational. Known as Allen Rock – Green #11, the aid to navigation flashes once every seven seconds and has served for decades as a critical visual guide for mariners traveling to and from Warren and Barrington. The Warren Fire Department expressed appreciation to the U.S. Coast Guard Northeast for their continued commitment to maritime safety and for keeping the light shining year-round.
