GOWANDA, NY - On January 8th, the Gowanda Volunteer Fire Department partnered with Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center to bring critical cancer screening resources directly to the community by hosting Roswell Park’s early detection mobile trailer at the fire hall. The visit provided local residents with convenient access to cancer screening services, reinforcing the importance of early detection in improving outcomes and saving lives. Department members expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to support public health efforts and to help connect the community with lifesaving preventive care, emphasizing that early detection remains one of the strongest tools in the fight against cancer.
