Four-Alarm Fire at Vacant Building in Buffalo Brings Extended Overnight Response

BUFFALO, NY - Buffalo Fire Department firefighters responded at approximately 11:09 p.m. Thursday night, January 16th, to a reported fire at 468 Emslie Street, where crews encountered heavy fire conditions that ultimately escalated to a four-alarm response.


Firefighters worked for more than seven hours in challenging overnight conditions before bringing the fire under control at approximately 3:45 a.m. The building was confirmed to be vacant at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
