Family Dog Saved in Cedar Hammock

CEDAR HAMMOCK, FL - Cedar Hammock Fire District was called to a report of a structure fire just after noon om Saturday, January 27th. On arrival, units reported heavy smoke coming from side ā€œCā€. All occupants were out of the house, except for the family dog. The fire made its way into the attic as thick black smoke pushed from the eves. During suppression, the family dog was rescued. Southern Manatee Fire Rescue and Manatee County EMS assisted. The Red Cross assisted with placing two adults and two children.
