HIGH FALLS, NY - On January 23rd at 2:41 A.M., the High Falls Fire Department was called for a house fire at 267 Mossybrook Rd. Firefighters arrived to find a house fully involved in flames. Due to lack of fire hydrants in the area mutual aid assistance for tanker trucks were called to the scene. A male resident was taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation while a female resident remained missing. The house completely collapsed and damage to the residence was very extensive, so investigators could not pinpoint the fire's cause. After a lengthy recovery search, state police found the female victim.
