Logan Township, NJ — 2nd January — For the first time, the Logan Township Fire Department announced that it responded to 606 service requests in 2025—more than 600 calls in a single year. With 590 calls in 2024, 475 in 2023, and 507 in 2022, the total keeps up its growing trend from prior years. In 2025, there were 253 alarm activations, 22 car fires, 90 auto accidents, and 36 home fires. Investigations, service assignments, marine rescues, hazardous condition calls, carbon monoxide alarms, and mutual-aid responses were all handled by crews. The growing call volume, according to officials, is a reflection of the township's ongoing development and activity. Despite the demands of a hectic year, department members maintained response readiness through coordination and training.
