The City of Hackensack Fire Department recognized two officer promotions during a recent City Council meeting, marking an important leadership update within the department.

Last Tuesday, during the City of Hackensack City Council meeting, Captain Hilliard and Lieutenant Kavanagh took the oath of office. The advancements, according to department officials, demonstrate the fire department's ongoing leadership growth and operational preparedness. Local fire service supporters, department employees, and city officials all attended the occasion. Members of Hackensack Fire Fighters IAFF Local 2081 and Hackensack Fire Officers IAFF Local 3172 acknowledged the appointments and extended congratulations to both officers
