10-30 Transmitted for Smoke Investigation in Hasbrouck Heights

On January 13, the Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department responded to Raymond Street for a report of smoke in the attic.When Chief 61 arrived on the site, he saw that the entire house had a distinct electrical burning smell. A 10-30 was sent out based on the circumstances, and the Wood-Ridge Fire Department was asked to help.
A damaged power strip on the second level with a small fire extension to the floor area was discovered by investigators. Before leaving the scene, firefighters resolved the problem and made sure the area was secure. There were no reported injuries. Mutual aid units assisted with operations, while the Moonachie Fire Department and Little Ferry Hose Company #1 provided coverage for the borough during the incident.
