Station 33 Controls UTV Fire on Congasia Road

Whiting, NJ — January 7 — Station 33 of Whiting Fire Company was called to a utility terrain vehicle fire on Congasia Road. When Chief 3300 arrived first, they verified that there was only one UTV fire and that everyone inside had been safely evacuated. Soon after, engines 3301 and 3311 arrived and set up a 1¾-inch assault line that swiftly put out the fire and stopped it from spreading into the surrounding brush.
Along with Whiting Fire Police operating utility units 3327 and 3337, who helped with scene control and safety, Assistant Chief 3310 also arrived on the site. After completing suppression efforts, firefighters looked for any dangers in the vicinity. The Manchester Police Department was tasked with investigating the incident after the situation was secured.
