Stafford Township, NJ — January 1 — 2025 was Stafford Township Volunteer Fire Company No. 1's second busiest year ever, surpassed only by Hurricane Sandy in 2012. Due to regular emergencies, seasonal conditions, and the township's consistent growth, firefighters reacted to a high number of events all year long. The department's 100% volunteer staff handled all calls while juggling emergency response with training, equipment preparedness, and community duties.

In order to maintain coverage throughout the region, mutual aid partners provided assistance during busy times and prolonged operations. Through resources and coordination, township officials also continued to offer assistance. Stafford Township Volunteer Fire Company #1, located at 133 Stafford Avenue, begins the new year with a focus on cooperation, preparedness, and maintaining volunteer service while call activity is still high.
