At approximately 11:40 a.m. on January 9, the Hammonton Fire Department was notified of a reported chemical spill believed to involve chlorine at the Walmart in Hammonton. Firefighters reacted quickly and remained on the scene to mitigate the problem. Upon arrival, staff began analyzing the situation and taking immediate procedures to control and manage the reported spill. No additional information on injuries or evacuations was available at the time of the response.
