Dec. 21, 2025 — Strong winds swept through Cambridge on Sunday, knocking over the Christmas tree displayed in front of the Cambridge Fire Department station. Despite the setback, the damage was short-lived thanks to local volunteers who gave up part of their Sunday morning to restore the tree. With coordinated effort and the use of heavy equipment provided by Howrigan Family Excavation & Trucking LLC, the tree was successfully re-righted and secured, returning the holiday display to service. Fire officials expressed their appreciation to everyone involved, highlighting the teamwork and community support that helped resolve the situation quickly and safely.
