Two-Car MVA with Entrapment in Fall River

Fall River, MA - Shortly after 1:00 P.M. on January 21st, Fire and EMS units were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at Brayton Avenue and Grace Street. Units arrived to an SUV that came to rest against a utility pole and the other vehicle facing west in the eastbound lane. Firefighters from Heavy Rescue 1 and Engine 4 used hydraulic and battery operated rescue tools to free a female victim from her car. After being treated and packaged for transport, the victim was transported to a local trauma center.
