Montgomery Fire and First Response to Host State-Certified Emergency Responder Course
December 9, 2026 — Montgomery Fire and First Response announced it will host a two-day Vermont Emergency First Responder (EFR) course aimed at training and certifying participants to provide basic first aid and potentially life-saving interventions, including CPR. The course will take place on January 3 and 4, running from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Day one will focus on classroom-based, didactic instruction, while day two will provide hands-on skills training designed to prepare participants for real-world emergency situations. The cost of the course is $100, and successful participants will receive state-level certification. Fire officials noted the class is also an opportunity for those interested in volunteering, as Montgomery Fire and First Response continues to seek new members.
