WHITMAN, MASSACHUSETTS (PLYMOUTH COUNTY) - Around 2145 hours on the evening of Friday, January 20, 2023 the Whitman Fire Department received multiple calls reporting a car fire in the area of 24 Carleton Street. Car-3, Engine-243 and Ladder-246 responded to the scene. Upon their arrival, Lieutenant Tom Ford reported a fully involved engine compartment on a Jeep SUV located in front of 32 Carleton Street.
One line was stretched off of Engine-243 to quickly knock down the fire. The car fire is under investigation by the Whitman Police Department with the assistance of the Plymouth County Sheriffs Department BCI unit. No injuries were reported.
