Frankford Township, N.J. — January 11th — Pump training and hose line deployments were conducted by Frankford Township Fire Department personnel for several hours. A mix of seasoned firefighters and more recent recruits attended the class, including one who was getting ready to start a long-term duty at the fire academy.

Establishing water supplies, running fire pumps, and effectively deploying hose lines were the main topics of instruction. These abilities need frequent practice and are necessary for safe and efficient fireground operations. The department stated the pump training benefits new firefighters as they pursue full operator credentials on department equipment and aids members in recording the necessary training hours. Regular practical training enhances teamwork, boosts reaction effectiveness, and guarantees members stay ready to help both local incidents and mutual aid operations, officials stressed.
