On January 16th around 3:40 pm the Western Salisbury , Eastern Salisbury, Emmaus, Frie Departments and Cetronia fire Co. for tower 3 and Lower Macungie F. D. for RIT were dispatched for a commerical structure fire at the South Mall on Lehigh st. for a haze and odor of smoke near the bath and bodyworks store in the mall. Engine 7 arrived on the scene and had a haze through out the 1 story mall. After an investigation and command talking to mall management it was found out there was welding going on all day where the lower end of the mall meets the Giant store and it had caused the haze and smell.
