December 25, 2025 — While many spent Christmas Day indoors, members of the Enosburgh Fire Department were outside training in winter conditions, reinforcing their commitment to readiness in all seasons. Firefighters conducted hands-on drills in snowy, icy conditions, focusing on water supply operations, pump handling, and scene coordination after dark. The training emphasized operating safely and effectively in extreme cold—conditions frequently encountered during real emergencies in northern Vermont. By practicing on Christmas Day, crews ensured that weather, time, or temperature never become obstacles to delivering professional emergency response when the community needs it most.
