St. Johnsbury Fire Department reported Tuesday that an ice jam has developed at the confluence of the Moose and Passumpsic rivers. While officials say there is no immediate threat to public safety, the situation is being closely monitored as winter conditions persist. Residents near the waterways are encouraged to remain aware of changing conditions as crews continue to observe the ice buildup in coordination with the Town of St. Johnsbury.
