Peacham Volunteer Fire Department members joined numerous fire and EMS agencies from Vermont and New Hampshire on the night of December 19, 2025, to provide mutual aid to the Ryegate Fire Department during a significant structure fire. Peacham responded with an engine and tanker, committing six members to assist with ventilation operations and fire extinguishment. Due to the scale of the incident and resulting damage, the Vermont State Fire Investigations Unit was requested to determine the origin and cause, a standard step for fires involving major loss.
