The Alpha Volunteer Fire Company considers a successful and active 2025 as the new year gets underway. The department would like to express its gratitude to all of the employees who took care of the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the organization running, answered calls, and received training during the year. The Ladies Auxiliary receives special appreciation for their unwavering commitment and assistance. The citizens and supporters of Alpha Borough are also thanked, as their participation in departmental activities is essential to maintaining operations.
The department expresses gratitude to the mayor and council of Alpha Borough for their ongoing assistance, as well as to all mutual-aid organizations that helped and trained Station 82 over the course of the year. Members responded to 234 service requests in 2025, including alarms, ALS and medical responses, car crashes, and building fires. Frequent drills and monthly truck inspections were carried out, frequently several times a week. Twelve members finished technician-level vehicle rescue training, five completed Rapid Intervention Team training, and five graduated as interior firefighters from the Warren County Fire Academy.
Additionally, the department used funds from the John Dolak American Legion Post 446 to put two new vehicles into service: a 2025 Ford F-350 Utility 82 and a 2025 Chevy Tahoe command vehicle (Car 82). In 2025, Station 82 received ten new members. In 2026, the organization plans to continue expanding, providing training, and getting ready for the delivery of a new 107-foot ladder truck in early 2027.
