NORWICH, CT - At 9:50 A.M. on Wednesday, January 17th, the Yantic Fire Department with Norwich Squad A, Truck 1 and Battalion 1 were dispatched to 18 Beechwood Boulevard for a shed fire near the home. Truck 1 arrived at 9:57 A.M. with a well-involved shed. Squad A stretched a 200-foot, one-and-three-quarter-inch crosslay up the driveway and began attacking the fire. Engine 31 arrived next and also stretched a one-and-three-quarter-inch hose line. Engine 33 then arrived and established the water supply for both engines. Crews quickly extinguished the fire with two lines and overhauled the contents. Battalion 1 had command and Car 30 was operations. The Norwich Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
