Structure Fire Draws Multi-Unit Response in Basking Ridge

Basking Ridge, NJ — 22nd December — A reported structure fire in the township prompted the Basking Ridge Fire Co. No. 1 & EMS to react. Following reports of a building fire, fire and EMS units were sent out.
In order to address circumstances within the building, firefighters deployed handlines, set up a water supply, and performed a scene size-up upon arrival. In order to verify the building's condition, crews conducted searches and looked for fire extensions. EMS personnel were positioned close by to assist with fireground operations and offer medical assistance as needed. Coordinated actions are necessary to protect nearby properties, responders, and inhabitants during structural fires. Safe and efficient responses are supported by standard operating procedures and ongoing training. Units went back into service once operations were over and the situation calmed.
