Chichester, NH — 5th January — A car accident involving a utility pole close to Campers Inn on Route 4 prompted Chichester Fire Department firefighters to react. When an ambulance from Concord Hospital arrived at 200 Dover Road, it discovered that several cars were involved and that a private garage had sustained considerable damage.

According to preliminary accounts, the car went off the road, crossed the centerline, and hit two parked cars before colliding with the garage and trapping the driver. Extrication, traffic control, and scene stabilization were aided by additional teams. The Concord Fire Department offered mutual aid assistance. Until was asked to evaluate a power pole that was damaged. In less than half an hour, the patient was evacuated.
