Crews Respond to Road Closure at Maple Street and Old College Road

Andover, NH — 11th January — After a big tree fell on Maple Street, bringing down power lines and an electrical pole, Andover, New Hampshire Emergency Services were called. Due to the event, which happened close to the intersection of Maple Street and Old College Road, the road was immediately closed for public safety.


Crews from the highway, fire department, and emergency medical services secured the area and tried to keep people and cars away from the danger. As situations were evaluated, dispatch centers handled numerous calls pertaining to the incident. After being informed, utility companies took action to fix the damaged infrastructure and start planning for restoration. While work is ongoing, officials recommended drivers to stay away from the area and take the designated routes. Until all risks have been reduced and the road can be safely reopened, crews will stay on the spot.
