January 8, 2026— Cumberland Fire Department units are operating on scene at a second-alarm fire in the Town of Gray, assisting the Gray Fire Rescue. Cumberland Engine 102 and Heavy Rescue 103 were dispatched on mutual aid, with Heavy Rescue 103 initially assigned as the Rapid Intervention Team before being reassigned to provide additional manpower, assisting with fire attack and overhaul operations.
Engine 102 was tasked with establishing and maintaining water supply, shuttling approximately 12,000 gallons of water to support suppression efforts. Crews worked alongside regional partners as operations continued to bring the fire under control.
