Firefighter /EMT Calab Achen has been named the “Employee of the Quarter” for the 4th and final Quarter of 2021.

FF /EMT Achen is with on B Shift South Battalion at Station 2.

FF/EMT Achen was nominated by several BCFES members and below are direct quotes from those who nominated him.

Achen in the last couple of months passed fire instructor course, assisted in the rookie class and has taken on extra projects around the station without being asked.

Achen has been extremely flexible with his duty assignments and has been covering for sick employees.

I have, more than once, seen FF /EMT Achen completing tasks around the stations without being instructed to do so. When I asked Achen about why he completed the task, he replied, “I noticed it needed to be done.”
