East Campbell Volunteer Fire Department (Department 15) was called to a reported car accident on Dry Run Road between Woodcock Road and Gulf Road at around 3:20 p.m. on January 9. Before finding the accident on the seasonal portion of Woodcock Road, Chief 15 first examined Dry Run Road and the end of Woodcock Road. Chief 15 instructed all inbound equipment and personnel to gather at the bridge at the base of the hill for safety due to the extreme icy conditions.
AMR Ambulance assessed both of the car's passengers after they self-extricated. There were no reports of entrapment. Vehicle recovery was sought from B&W Towing.
Rescue 15 was dispatched by Department 15. Rescue 2 stayed in quarters as Engine 33 of the Savona Fire Department (Department 33) responded. Tanker 2 and M-9 from Campbell Fire Department (Department 9) responded. The Town of Campbell Highway Department, Car 97, B&W Towing, and New York State Police were among the supporting organisations. By 5:08 p.m., every unit was cleared and operational again.
