Matt, a firefighter with the South Hornell Fire Company, passed away, according to Arkport Hose Co. #1 Inc. The local fire service community is grieving his loss. Through joint training and mutual assistance responses, Matt became well-known to nearby departments as a devoted member of South Hornell Fire Company. Early in his fire service career, he finished Firefighter I training, and over the years, he continued to work with other firefighters. Arkport Hose Co. #1 sent its sympathies to Matt's friends, family, and fellow firefighters. Departments throughout the region are commemorating his dedication, devotion, and the friendship he had with his coworkers.
