Mutual Aid Supports Overnight Fire Operations

SIDNEY, NY — December 20 — A reported structure fire in the Village of Sidney prompted the response of the Sidney Fire Department, situated at 74 River St., Sidney, New York. The Unadilla Fire Department was put on standby after first-arriving officials verified that the fire was operational.
With a tanker, ladder truck, and engine, Sidney Fire went to the scene with 14 personnel. The fire was restricted to one room of the house as crews advanced inside lines. With support from Unadilla Fire, crews finished overhaul and ventilation after knockdown. Both districts received standby coverage from the Sidney Centre Fire Department. The Village of Sidney Police Department, Delaware County Emergency Services Coordinators, and Sidney EMS all contributed extra assistance.
