Margaretville Units Support Fire and Medical Incidents

MARGARETVILLE, NY — January 2 — Two major occurrences that happened simultaneously were handled by the Margaretville Fire Department, which is located at 77 Church Street in Margaretville, New York. A team under the command of Captain M. Cammer responded to a big structure fire in the Stamford Fire District using Engine 2312 and Tanker 2351 as mutual aid.


Margaretville Hospital Ambulance sent Margaretville Ambulance 2362 with ALS support to a traumatic injury at Ski Plattekill concurrently. After a patient evaluation revealed that a medical helicopter was required, firemen, with the town constable's help, set up a landing zone at the community helipad. The department offered ambulance mutual aid coverage while units were committed until all equipment was back in working order. The synchronized response showed coordination and personnel adaptability.
