HOMER, NY - The Homer Fire Department was called to the vicinity of Foster Road and Route 90 in response to a complaint of an airbag-deployed car plunging into a ditch on January 7th. Units 562 and 502 of Homer Fire/Rescue arrived on the scene. Crews found one car off the road when they arrived. Firefighters made sure the car was stable, guarded the area, and looked for potential dangers. One subject was transported for additional medical evaluation after EMS personnel assessed the occupant. In order to safeguard responders and oncoming drivers during operations, traffic control was implemented.
