During a community-focused Christmas celebration on December 22, Beukendaal Fire Department personnel spread holiday happiness around the region. Along the way, firefighters distributed candy canes to kids as they passed around the area with Santa and the Elf on the Shelf. As the fire department convoy passed through nearby neighborhoods, families stepped outside to welcome the Christmas guests. The department had its yearly Christmas Party after the ride-along. Santa and the Elf returned to the event to spend time with department families and give gifts to kids. Members and their families had the chance to celebrate the season together at the event.
