MASONVILLE, NY — December 24 — A tractor-trailer was reported to have penetrated a home, prompting the Masonville Volunteer Fire Department, located at 15488 State Highway 8. The truck driver was unharmed, and the first responding officers verified that the house was empty.

The Walton Fire Department, New York State Police, Delaware County Sheriff's Department, New York State DOT, NYSEG, Don Oralls Garage, and a local code enforcement officer were among the agencies with which firefighters coordinated and secured the situation. While Walton Fire helped with road closures in Walton, Masonville firefighters blocked State Highway 206 at the Masonville crossroads. Throughout the incident, Delaware County 911 dispatchers offered assistance. Around 3:30 p.m., every unit went back into service. The reaction showed good interagency cooperation, traffic control, and scene management.
